have grown exponentially in the beautiful valley of Kashmir in no time. The craze of this sport is rapidly increasing among youngsters!
The trend of playing football in Kashmir is from the era of Maharaja Hari Singh, but during that time it was limited to a very few people in Kashmir. Football is one sport that can never go out of trend. While every Indian state was preparing their football club, Kashmiri youth were also getting ready with their football boots to give a knockout challenge to other teams. Lone star football club finally made its debut in Kashmir. The youth and the children who were longing for this game in Kashmir finally got a platform. Lone star is associated with Jammu & Kashmir football association. In the year 2013, Lone star was registered with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) after becoming prime
sponsors. It became the professional football club of Kashmir and was also registered under private company as per the licensing criteria of AIFF.
Lone star Kashmir is fast becoming the name on every youth’s lips. It plays a pivotal role at the dawn of a new era in football in Jammu and Kashmir. The club provides a shelter to the footballers of Kashmir and made them a part of its success. Finally, the longest dream of becoming professional footballers was coming true.
The office of lone star Kashmir FC, started from Barzulla, Srinagar. The club is the face of growing talents. The introduction of Lone Star in Kashmir changed the views of people of Kashmir. Parents who opposed their kids to opt for football as their career are now proud of their achievements. With an initiative to promote football in Kashmir, the football association gave some amount of money to each player. That was a way to generate employment in Kashmir through this sport. Those who wanted to follow their passion now started making themselves more capable to get selected into Lone star. The no. of players in this football club is 22 and are the best trained footballers from Kashmir,
foreign and other Indian states too. They all are from different backgrounds but that is not what matters, when you are dedicated enough to follow your heart and passion.
The football club has now made a name in the competitors list. This football club is accepting the daunting challenges thrown at them and is also giving fruitful results. The club has appointed some of the best MBBS Doctor, Physiotherapist, media manager, finance officer and marketing manager to its league. Now, the squad is all set to give tough challenges to other state teams at national level.
As far the secretariat is concerned Mr. Iftikhar A. Lone is the owner and the chairman of the club, Farman A Lone and Mr. Z.A. Thakur is the director, Mr. N.A. Khan .the former president is the Executive director of the club and Majid Yousuf is the secretary general manager of the
club. They are the main members of the secretariat. Mr. Hilal Rasool as the head coach has served a lot to this club. The under-19 team also gave remarkable results. The club has also qualified for the Santosh trophy.
So far continued efforts have been taken day-to-day to achieve such encouraging results. The baby steps taken are now getting converted into footprints leaving an impact on every footballer as well as spectator. With the help of Lone Star Kashmir Football Club, we would need just a football and a field to play the game and win laurels for the country.
